Voting is tied to an Aethro account so the directory can enforce a fair 24-hour cooldown for every server.
TMS records a real directory vote, then sends the configured Votifier delivery packet to the Minecraft server. Those are related, but they are not the same thing.
Voting is tied to an Aethro account so the directory can enforce a fair 24-hour cooldown for every server.
The Minecraft name entered on the vote form is the name sent to the server so it can issue the right in-game reward.
Server owners can use Classic Votifier v1 or NuVotifier v2. TMS securely sends the packet after recording the vote.
It is the vote-delivery service behind TopMCServer. It records the TMS vote, then speaks the Votifier protocol to the configured Minecraft server endpoint. Players do not need to install a Discord bot.
The TMS vote can still be counted, but the server cannot receive an in-game reward until its owner configures Votifier. TMS does not claim delivery where no reward packet could be sent.
Owners can configure Votifier in Manage Listing. TMS Staff can diagnose and test delivery. V1 uses the server public RSA key. V2 uses the NuVotifier token.
No. Votes are one genuine community signal. TMS does not sell a flat placement boost.
